Experience
I’ve been working as a Digital Creative for ten years, with a range of experience including:
- Developing ideas for integrated brand campaigns, promotional microsites and online ads
- Design for websites and online campaigns, including illustration and animation
- Client management, including new business pitches and client presentations
Developing Ideas
Developing my own ideas is probably the best bit. Figuring out the many layers in an integrated campaign is a great challenge. But I also enjoy working with other people to help build a campaign. As a Digital Creative I’ve spent a lot of time translating TV and print ideas onto the web. I believe the internet is not about technology, it’s about people. The best results come when you forget about pixels and bandwith and focus on the audience.
Graphic Design
My background is in graphic design, and I very much enjoy the design process, whether it’s websites, animations or illustrations. I’ve also got a thorough understanding of web technologies and I enjoy working closely with smart people to develop clever solutions.
Client Management and Pitching
I like to work directly with clients because I think it leads to better understanding on both sides. No matter how good our ideas, if the client doesn’t get it, we don’t make it. I’ve worked directly with clients for a number of years, managing ongoing relationships as well as presenting creative for new business pitches.
